The South Torbian Communist Army (TCA) seeks to establish a communist country based on the Marxist model, the same goal as stated by the South Torbian Communist Party (TCP). The TCP claims that their group has no connection to the TCA, though there are probably some members that belong to both organizations. The TCA is thought have fewer than 1,000 official members, though they may have many more supporters throughout the country. The TCA probably contains a number of North Torbian agents, who use the group to support the objective of reunification under the regime of their Supreme Leader, Song Chong-Su. Over the last decade, the South Torbian government arrested over a dozen citizens for spying on behalf of North Torbia. Several of those arrested had connections to the TCP or the TCA.
The TCA attacks government leaders and buildings as well as symbols of the government such as schools. The TCA’s snipers attempted to assassinate government leaders; TCA operatives attempted to foment a revolution by simultaneously attempting to take over the congress buildings and the president’s home. Both attempts failed due to effective response by police and Souht Torbian SPF; this failure resulted in imprisonment many TCA leaders and ardent supporters. Since that attempt five years ago, the TCA has kept a lower profile as they attempt to rebuild the organization.
Recently, the TCA has been attempting to bolster its ranks by recruiting foreign migrant workers who are often taken advantage of by South Torbian businesses. This is especially true regarding agricultural conglomerates.
