Redback Raiders MC

Overview

The Redback Raiders MC Motorcycle Club (SRMC) is a global one-percenter outlaw motorcycle club originally founded in Manila, South Torbia. The majority of members ride American, cruiser style motorcycles. They espouse all the traditional ideals of celebrating freedom, nonconformity to mainstream cultural norms and the loyalty to the brotherhood created by club membership. Historically, it was a requirement that all members owned a motorcycle, however in recent years as the club transitioned into criminal enterprises the new, younger members do not always own motorcycles.

Starting from humble beginnings, the Redback Raiders have evolved into a potent transnational criminal network across the Indopacific and throughout the Western world. Initially advantaged by their key location astride one of the world?s most lucrative drug trafficking routes, the organization's centres of gravity quickly shifted from their point of origin to the more lucrative drugs distribution hubs in the USA and Australia, where the largest and most capable chapters are based. Relatively high retail drug prices in these countries have driven the growth of the Western chapters, with the central or mother chapter retaining no more than nominal control.

Owing to this, there are significant differences in mode of operation and membership profile in different locations, with Western chapters being associated with extreme right wing and white supremacist organization's, as well as transnational criminal cartels. Regardless of this, all Redback Raiders chapters primarily engage in narcotics and arms trafficking, gaining and protecting territory through a combination of tight bonds of membership and loyalty and the liberal use of demonstrative violence.

Alliance Matrix

GROUP RELATIONSHIP NOTES
Tantoco Cartel Ally The Torbian Tantoco Cartel has a strong commercial relationship with the club, especially the mother chapter, and frequently use their services as security for drugs trafficking and enforcement operations.
Yusingo Enterprises Ally The Redback Raiders are believed to be associated with Yusingo Enterprises largely through their links with the Tantoco Cartel.
Osongco Syndicate Ally Redback Raiders maintain friendly relations with organistions like the Osongco Syndicate, who sit within or across their key drugs and arms smuggling routes.
Thorskrig Ally The US and Australian chapters, which are the largest, have a natural sympathy with organisations like Thorskrig, with some degree of cross-membership and a strong relationship based on Redback Raiders? supply of weapons.

Organization and Membership

Redback Raiders MC Organization.png

The Redback Raiders MC maintains the traditional hierarchical structure where each local chapter is controlled by a president who is supported by other office-bearers, vice-presidents, secretaries, treasurers, sergeants-at-arms and road captains, who manage specific roles within the club. Decisions about formal business such as admitting and expelling members and elevating members to office-bearing positions are made democratically by all full patched members, who are required to vote. Tracing back to the military origins of one-percenter motorcycle clubs, Redback Raiders MC also adheres to strict codes of behaviour.

Membership demographics vary widely across their various areas of operation. The largest clubs, in major western cities, are exclusively Caucasians, overwhelmingly male, and between the ages of 19 and 65 years of age, with the average age being 38. Chapters across the Pacific region, such as Torbia and Belesia, are more diverse and are reflective of the local population, with the same bias towards military-aged males.

Area of Operations

The Redback Raiders MC has chapters in South Torbia and Belesia, but owing to the significant financial returns from their criminal activities in the US and Australia, the largest chapters now reside in those countries. Redback Raiders control a significant portion of the narcotics, drugs, and sex trafficking operations across the Indopacific region and in the US and Australia. A majority of the Redback Raiders MC senior members now reside throughout the Indo-Pacific region to ensure they are beyond the reach of Western law enforcement.

Operational Profile

Kinetic

The Redback Raiders MC conducts activities across the criminal spectrum. The mother chapter in Luzon controls the overall operation of the club?s activities throughout the Indo-Pacific as well as nurturing and maintaining relationships with all other organised criminal enterprises globally. The largest and most lucrative chapters in the US and Australia are virtually autonomous, but still defer to the mother chapter in administrative and other routine matters.

The Redback Raiders MC principal kinetic activities include:

  • Intimidation and extortion of individuals and businesses
  • Debt Collection (legitimate and illegitimate)
  • Murder, maiming and assault, either for hire or as part of routing operations
  • Armed Robbery
  • Arson, sabotage and property destruction of rival businesses

Non-Kinetic

Apart from street level criminal activity, Western urban chapters have become increasingly prominent in the conduct of transnational crime, especially with regard to drugs, arms, and sex trafficking. The Redback Raiders MC has further strengthened its control of smuggling through the strategic and systematic infiltration of domestic and international freight transportation companies. The Redback Raiders MC maintains a support base of lawyers, accountants and businesses entities to assist with legal defence, money laundering, and corporate obfuscation.

  • The Redback Raiders MC principal non-kinetic activities include:
  • Drugs, weapons, and currency smuggling
  • Large scale narcotics manufacture
  • Sex and labour trafficking
  • Distribution of illicit and prescription drugs
  • Influence activities through intimidation, blackmail, and drug addiction
  • Financial services, laundering, cryptocurrency conversion, storage and transportation
  • Illegal Gambling
  • Prostitution and sex industry services
  • Tattoo parlours, tow truck services, panel beating and mechanical services

Recruitment

Like all OMCG, Redback Raiders MC has a well-defined recruitment processes centred on testing the reliability, loyalty and "outlaw" values of potential members. Individuals (sometimes known as ?associates/hangarounds?) wishing to join a club have typically been expected to spend time, from a few months to a few years, getting to know members by regularly attending clubhouses and events, as well as going on rides. If and when they are deemed suitable for membership, they then transition to ?nominees/prospects?, which represents a form of probationary membership. This period may last one to two years, during which they perform menial tasks and duties for the club, and carry out the orders of full patched members. This period will usually include violent and low level criminal acts such as drug/weapons transportation and debt collection by force to ensure their loyalty and commitment to the club. Following this period of prospecting or "nomming" for the club, all full patched members will vote on elevating that person to full membership.

Redback Raiders MC recruitment over the past decade has, much to the chagrin of the older, founding members focussed on younger members who are aggressive, status-driven and profit motivated. As a result, there has been a slide in the conformity to the traditional standards and a relaxation of the recruitment process. Potential members are now evaluated on their propensity to violence and ability to make money for the club. Redback Raiders MC has increased membership significantly as members from other clubs "patch" over, given the opportunities to advance and make money within the Redback Raiders MC. This switching of clubs by members has created conflict between local clubs.
